Ohhh, this is nice–I LOVE lilacs! I noticed that a neighbor has a hyacinth outside his door…he’s almost never there, and I’m sorely tempted to cut the blooms and bring them inside my place. I know, I know–it’s stealing!

When I was a kid we had lilacs; these days we don’t often see them. There’s a fashion in plants and I guess in UK lilacs not considered chic any more.

As the say, fashions come, fashions go. Don’t know why they fell out of favour. I like them; they remind me of my young days.
