Here are some spiky squares I took the other day while on a walk around Orillia feeling like a tourist.
This one is of the Orillia Opera House. If you’re a Gordon Lightfoot fan you can see him perform here several times a year.
This is Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church in Orillia which is very close to where I live. All the brickwork is in limestone.
Linking up to Spiky March Squares over at Becky’s.
Reblogged this on LIVING THE DREAM.

I always have my camera but sometimes leave it in the car. I must look like a tourist when walking about around as along the coast here is a tourist destination. You have a lovely town. Good on Gordon for being a part of his roots

Oh WOW, Gordon–wasn’t sure he was still around…I lived for his music back when I was young and innocent 🙂

He’s alive and kicking 🙂 He also plays at at musical festival that we have every summer called Mariposa Folk Festival. He was born here in Orillia and has never forgotten it.

I used to carry around a camera sometimes but now I always have my phone on me. Thank goodness for technology 🙂

I like your remark of ‘feeling like a tourist’. So, I take photos in other towns, but never around the place I live, despite there are some interesting and historical buildings. But I can’t be seen by neighbours toting a camera like I’m a tourist 🙂
