Place of Worship – Senryu

what do you see march 26

Stone cold deserted

Gone, once a place of worship

That was long ago

Safe sanctuary

Before … To many lost souls

Meeting together

One congregation

Finding, needing guidance

Appreciation

Unsubstantial ghosts

Spirits to some remain here

Incarcerated

  1. The somber, shadowy tones of the artwork was well matched by the feeling and words of your poem. Whenever I see or visit an old structure I always think about the lives connected to it. This said it well.
