Where Have the Words Gone

At a loss for words today

Have no idea what to say

Cup of cappuccino awaits

Hot and frothy, want one mate?

Back to putting pen to paper

Determined to write sooner than later

Looking here, looking there

Drawing a blank, beginning to swear

Where or where has my muse gone

I’ve not written a thing in so long

Inspiration is needed

Feeling so impeded

The words no longer flow

What do I do, do you know?

  1. The rhythm of this is great – feels like it should have pictures and makes me want to sit cross-legged on the floor while you read and turn the pages. Ok if I bring my coffee along? I mean, do kids drink coffee? Or maybe I’ll just take your cappuccino. ~Z
