Watch the clouds roll in
Lightening soon to alert us
Of incoming storm
One can smell the rain
Thunderclaps, rolls, and rumbles
Torrential downpour

This haiku was written for Heeding Haiku with Chèvrefeuille over at Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie. This week’s prompt: Stormy Weather.
I wrote a haiku on stormy weather back in 2013 that I wanted to use but the rules are that your poem must be new. If you’d like to see the one from 2013 here’s the link.
Sometimes it’s welcome, especially by the garden.
