Yes and the blooms I’m most looking forward to is my lilac tree. We had a dusting of snow last night and hopefully it will be gone shortly.

Lilac… we don’t see much lilac in UK these days. It seems to have lost popularity. Though I came across some in a country lane last year, and tooks some shots of it. I like lilac. Reminds me of my childhood, when it was everywhere.

My mother would never have them indoors. I think they might have reminded her of her young sister’s death thro’ polio

My father reminded me of it at the weekennd when I likened our current virus problem to 1918 flu. I hadn’t realised the polio epidemics were as bad, that every summer parents feared for their children (who were the mosr affected)
