The following was written for a challenge called #SixSentenceStory over at Denise’s.
This week’s prompt word is “Angle”
To start at the beginning of this series please click here.

Just then Mr. Taylor walked back into his office obviously hearing what Jane had just said from the look on his face but never questioned it and Pete thought to himself, good, it’s none of his business what my mother and I are talking about.
Sitting down in his chair he spoke, “Well Pete, what’s your decision, you’ve had enough time to think this over while I was gone.”
“If I tell you who I think it was, can it stay between us … or are you going to tell them it was me that ratted them out?”
“I’ll try to keep your identity a secret, but I can’t promise whether or not to get you involved as it depends on many angles.”
Pete’s mom spoke up, “Many angles you say, like what?”
“Who the student is, what the police say about this, whether this person has a record if someone wants to take this to court, and if so Pete may have to testify.
To be continued …
You wanna know what makes me dislike Mr. Taylor? …”but I can’t promise…”
He uses ‘can’t’ instead of ‘won’t’ for one reason: so he can’t be held responsible for his own actins… (what a fricken roger)
(project much, clark? lol)

I don’t like Mr. Taylor either.

I’m with Clark. “can’t” and “won’t” are very different statements. Taylor bothers me.

Yeah, right! Agree with Mimi. No way Mr. Taylor’s going to keep Pete’s identity a secret. Pete better start lining up protection 😀

Pete has a couple of Rotweilers at home … hmm.

No matter what, others will know. That will cause trouble.

Shouldn’t matter ‘who the student is’ but it often does, with rules being different depending on lineage. That’s quite an angle you’ve taken with this turn.
