PROMPT WORD:  RANDOM

I’ve not been writing very much as of late and my writer’s block is very bothersome. My six sentence story/acrostic poem seems a bit silly to me but I have to start somewhere right?

Right or wrong, you can sing it in a song

Any time of day or night, sing with delight

New lyrics are fun to write to a special song you like

D can sound like a major or often as a minor

Open your heart sing whether you’re happy or sad

Make someone’s day, make them smile today

  1. I agree, music and a simple sang song can brighten a person’s day. Though I can’t hold a tune, I sing along to music especially when I like the song. As to making new words… done that since my kids were young
    Highly random

  2. It ain’t easy with all eyes looking to you for a fresh prompt, week after week after week. But you do such a great job of it. Thanks for inviting me in to share with this terrific bunch of writers, you have amassed. I feel like i’ve gathered a new group of friends. Love doing SSS.
