The following was written for a challenge called #SixSentenceStory over at Denise’s.
This week’s prompt word is “Bridge”

A bit of an insight into Sam’s character.

“You’ve always wondered why I never hung out with Sam and part of the reason is that he likes to get others in trouble and he’s not a very nice guy at all, even though he comes off as a polite guy to adults, it’s just an act. Do you remember the time I came home from the cliffs and you asked me if I’d had fun?”
“Yes, I remember that day, you said not really and that you didn’t want to talk about it.”
“You know how there’s that bridge that’s close to the cliffs, well Sam took a cat up there and threw it over and into the water. Johnny and I jumped in and luckily we were able to save it.”
“Oh, my goodness, what a horrible little monster he is!”
To be continued …
I’ve heard about a child who held infants upside down in water, because he liked seeing their struggle to breath. The killer escaped, being a minor, and the case was hushed up.

Sam has gotten off to a bad start. I hope he will receive the help he needs before he does anymore damage to others and to himself. To learn more about Sam, I think some other characters will be a part of this story.
I’m glad you didn’t make us wait long to read this week’s SSS!

Sounds to me as if Sam is a little more than “not very nice”. A bit on the psycho side? At least the cat’s out of the bag, no pun intended lol

You know, this is a very realistic story. Kids don’t have it easy, trying to choose friends with good character, ethics, morals. Great job with the prompts!
